Gabriel is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Minnesota, Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior, in the Cavender-Bares Lab. In his postdoctoral research, Gabriel aims to identify the underlying genetic mechanism for bud break in hybrid aspens. In mid-2020, he will move to Sweden to start an independently approved Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Gothenburg, in collaboration with Dr. Christine Bacon and Dr. Alexander Antonelli to study the Systematics and Genomics of Açaí palm tree species. Gabriel plans to keep enjoying life through all of his endeavors!
