Title:

Tempo and mode of diversification of the Hawaiian biota, with an examination of the evolutionary history and biogeography of a species-rich Hawaiian plant group, Peperomia (Piperaceae)

Jun Ying is currently a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam, studying how plant-frugivore interactions have been and may continue to be shaped by megafaunal extinctions. He plans to continue her research into how large scale geologic and climatic dynamism has shaped the spatial and temporal variation in Earth's biota up to the present day, and how these ecological and evolutionary processes may play out in an era of global change. Personally he enjoys photography, watercolors, and bouldering.
