Peer advisors will be back in the office on Monday, 8/27 to help answer your questions!
Registration for new students begins on 7/16 for transfers and 7/18 for freshmen; phase 2 starts on 7/23 for continuing students. Students with GBA or IB-related registration holds should contact L&S (for freshmen) or IB advising (for transfers and continuing students).
The campus has published a document with known registration issues and links to departmental enrollment websites: Known Issues. Reserve capacities (i.e., seats withheld) for certain groups of students are listed on the Schedule of Classes. Please check both the known issues document and the reserve capacities when planning your schedule and choose backups to any in-demand classes.
Academic Progress Report Tool
Starting October 8, students will be able to check their progress toward university, campus, and college requirements using the Academic Progress Report tool (APR) in CalCentral. Please note that the APR does NOT accurately report IB major requirements and should NOT be used to check IB major progress. Students can check their own major progress using the major requirements page on our website.
Make an Appointment
Starting in Fall 2017, the IB advising staff will use the CalCentral appointment system for certain appointment types. For example, declaration and probation meetings will no longer be handled during a drop-in advising session. Refer to our Advising Services page for a breakdown of drop-in vs. appointment topics.
Starting in Fall 2017, all students must have completed or be enrolled in either IB 77A or IB 77B to declare the major. IB 77A or 77B will be a graduation requirement for all students that declare IB in Fall 2017 or after. If you are already declared in IB (declared Spring 2017 or earlier), you do not need to take IB 77A or 77B, but are welcome to.
