NOMINATION
Students from Partner Universities must be nominated by their home institution prior to submitting an application to UC Berkeley. Students are selected on the basis of academic excellence, preparation in biological sciences, and English language proficiency. Please contact the program representative of your home institution for internal deadlines and requirements.

APPLICATION
Nominated students will receive an invitation letter with instructions on how to complete the online application after an individual interview. Interviews will be conducted by Zoom, WeChat, Skype, Google Hangout, or other online means. All courses will be taken on the UC Berkeley campus, but the application is filed with UC Extension Concurrent Enrollment.

LANGUAGE TESTS
For students from English speaking countries, or with an English language background, UC Berkeley may allow the English language test to be waived. If a waiver is approved the student will be issued a letter to submit with the application for admission. For all other students, please submit a TOEFL iBT score of 90 or higher or an IELTs score of 7.0 or higher. Both tests are administered world-wide and year-round, though you need to reserve a test date in advance.

DEADLINES

Spring 2024 semester (January 2024 start): application materials due 1 November 2023.  
Fall 2024 semester (August 2024 start): application materials are due May 2024 (TBA). 

ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION
