Trip to Aquatic Park
Week of Feb. 2, 2004


This week we are taking a trip to the Aquatic Park in Berkeley. We will be conducting an exercise to familiarize you with the techniques used to collect and measure behavioral data. The handout is available in RTF (24KB) or PDF (124KB) from the handouts page.

You need to make arrangements to get to the Park. We have provided sign up sheets that are posted outside of VLSB 3083. Maps are also posted outside this room. WE NEED MORE DRIVERS.

We will meet at the West Circle of campus, the one with the big eucalyptus tree in the middle, at 3:00pm for Monday and Wednesday and at 3:30pm for Tuesday. You should bring:

• Warm Clothes (we will go RAIN or SHINE)
• The handout. Be sure to read it before the trip.
• A watch is necessary to time the behavioral observations.
• Binoculars are optional, but very useful.
