IB PhD candidate, Aleksey Maro, used novel urine analysis to prove wild chimps ingest significant ethanol. The study, conducted in Professor Robert Dudley’s lab, confirms a long-held theory on the evolutionary origins of drinking. He was also featured on NPR’s All Things Considered.
