         Abstracts
         
         
         
The Patagonian field area
         is near Bariloche, Argentina, where our group is working on
         a comparative study of terrestrial vertebrate biodiversity
         in montane environments. Currently we are focusing on the
         modern fauna, in order to establish a baseline for
         understanding changes over long time
         periods.
