Commencement Tickets & RSVP

Free Tickets

  • Each graduating student who RSVPs online to be in the IB Commencement by Friday, February 27, may pick up his/her four (4) tickets in person in the IB Undergraduate Office in 2033 Valley Life Sciences Building from May 12 through May 19 during regular office hours, Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 4 PM.
  • Participating students must appear in person with their student ID card.
  • No free tickets will be available on Commencement Day.
  • Graduating students in cap & gown, and children who will sit on an adult's lap do not need a ticket.

Purchasing Tickets

  • In addition to their free tickets, participating students may purchase up to four (4) additional tickets through the IB Undergraduate Student Services Office in 2033 VLSB. While supply lasts! NOTE: We sold out before noon in 2007.
    • $7 each. Open Monday - Friday, 9am - 4 pm, May 12 - 19 only.
    • Only check or money order made out to "UC Regents" will be accepted. (NO CASH).
    • PLEASE NOTE: There is NO option to "reserve" any additional tickets. Only a maximum of 4 are guaranteed for each RSVP'ing graduate.
  • Students living outside the Bay Area*, and no longer coming to UCB's campus on a regular basis (usually due to previous term graduation) may send a letter with your officially-known name, a check made out to "UC Regents", your SID, your current mailing address, and the total number of tickets required (not to exceed 8 tickets - includes up to 4 free tickets you already reserved and up to 4 additional tickets at $7 each) by MAY 1st. Your tickets will be mailed to your return address by May 12th. We assume 8 days will be adequate for US mail to get them to you.

  • Zellerbach Auditorium seats approximately 1700 people. Tickets for IB Commencement "sell out" each year. We urge you to buy the tickets you need as early in the sales period as possible.
