I am an evolutionary biologist with interests in vertebrate paleontology, herpetology, global change and conservation biology. I use fossil and extant data to understand faunal responses to global change, both on short and deep timescales. I examine these questions using ecological, physiological, and environmental contexts. My current research focuses on reptiles, particularly lizards. I enjoy paleontology because it requires both scientific and creative thinking. It's also a perfect platform for science education, which is another major interest. Studying paleontology has also been a very humbling experience - it has given me a deeper appreciation of my own existence and that of everything around me. I love sharing that perspective with others.
