Research Keywords

Location

Soberanía National Park, Panama (Map)

Study Species

Saguinus geoffroyi,Primates:Callitrichinae

I am interested in the evolution of cooperative interactions between individuals, especially in how individuals balance the benefits and costs of cooperation. I am interested in the ecological context of these interactions and how they occur in a variety of taxa.

My current research is focused on the adaptive benefits of cooperative male parental care in tamarins, small primates that inhabit the Panamanian rainforest. I am also researching the ecological context of social interactions by studying the movement ecology of tamarin groups and the evolutionary cosequences of these interactions through population genetics.
