The Berkeley Initiative in Global Change Biology (BiGCB) aims to facilitate and coordinate high-risk, cutting-edge research in Global Change Biology at UC Berkeley. The Initiative received seed funding from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research to develop the proof-of-concept over a 2 year period. Various funding channels are actively being pursued to support this long-term research development program.
