Welcome

Objective:
MIBA-US is the regional network of the global MIBA network organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency . It aims to install a global network of 18O in moisture samples from leaves, stem, soil (and water vapor) at existing ecosystem flux sites to complement the Global Network of Isotopes in Precipitation and to integrate isotope applications in hydrological cycle, carbon cycle and climate research.

Scientific Questions:
  • Regional scale hydrological budgets
  • The partitioning of annual carbon fluxes
  • The development of new global change indicators
  • Ecosystem functioning

  • Interpretations of 13C and 18O analyses in organic matter
  • The validation of general circulation models
