Description: This course includes the biology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, treatment, and prevention of various medically important parasitic infections. Life cycles of parasitic helminths and protozoa, the biological aspects of the host-parasite relationship, the epidemiology of the infection, and the interplay of social, economical, and ecological factors which contribute to the disease will be covered in both lectures and videos.
Prerequisites: 1A, 1B, or equivalent.
