Lactate Transport Protein Isoform MCT1

Research in George Brooks\'s lab with Postdoc Takeshi Hashimoto. Cellular locations in rat skeletal muscle of mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase (COX) and the lactate/pyruvate transport protein isoform, MCT1 using confocal laser scanning microscopy and fluorescent probes. MCT1 was illuminated to fluoresce green and was detected throughout the cells.
